Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lasagna LLC, operating as Ship Parts Direct (“we”, “us”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use shippartsdirect.com (the “Service”), including when you submit a request for quote (“RFQ”). We are the controller of the personal information described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide, primarily through an RFQ or by contacting us:
- Contact details — name, business email, company, role, and phone number;
- Procurement details — vessel name, IMO/MMSI, vessel type, delivery port and incoterm, urgency, the parts and quantities requested, and any notes you include;
- Correspondence — messages you send to us and our replies.
Information collected automatically when you use the Service:
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and similar log data, used for security, abuse prevention, and analytics.
Please do not submit special-category personal data or any export-controlled technical detail through the Service’s public forms.
2. How we use information
- to receive, screen, and respond to your RFQ and to source parts and quotes;
- to communicate with you about your request and our services;
- to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service and prevent abuse;
- to comply with legal obligations, including export-control and sanctions screening; and
- to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information on the bases of: performance of a contract or pre-contract steps (handling your RFQ); legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Service, and B2B outreach related to your request); compliance with a legal obligation (export-control/sanctions screening, recordkeeping); and consent where required (e.g., certain communications).
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers (processors) who run the Service on our behalf — including hosting (Vercel), database hosting (Supabase), transactional email (Resend), and customer-relationship tooling — under contracts limiting their use of the data;
- Suppliers to the extent necessary to obtain a quote for the parts you request;
- Legal and compliance — to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or government request (including export-control reporting), and to protect our rights, safety, and the Service;
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to handle your RFQ and our relationship, and thereafter as required for legal, tax, accounting, compliance (including export-control recordkeeping), and dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK have rights under the GDPR; California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any right, contact privacy@shippartsdirect.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service and may use limited analytics to understand usage. Where required, we will request consent for non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
The Service is a business-to-business tool intended for professional users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
11. Third-party sites
The Service may link to third-party websites and suppliers that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes take effect when we post the updated Policy with a new “last updated” date.
